Senior IT Strategist/Consultant

Location: Washington, DC
Education and Experience Required:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least twenty (20) years of experience providing senior-level technical expertise for projects of similar size, scope, and complexity. Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a degree.

Clearance Required:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency. Current CI Polygraph desired.

A Director of a Federal Services information technology (IT) Agency has tasked the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to acquire support to address strategic requirements the CIO needs to undertake to meet future mission demands on the Agency. The contractor team provides daily on-site support to the Government’s Senior Technical Advisor, CIO, and/ or Director to evolve the Agency IT profile.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior IT Consultant to support the customer's program objectives. The successful candidate will have experience with Fog Computing, Inevitable Architecture, Network Modeling (OpNet), and/or Hybrid Cloud Strategy.
  • Program Objective One (POI) is to support the inventory of the customer’s current IT capabilities, data management, and strategic vision, and develop and recommend options for optimization, elimination, or replacement, ensuring that the customer’s architecture  and solutions meet the needs of both current and future requirements.
  • Program Objective Two (P02) is to provide insight into disruptive and changing technologies to maintain customer's position as a technical leader through the efficient and agile adoption of cutting edge solutions from industry, academia, and government, balancing technical innovation and security requirements to make the customer a premier agency
  • Program Objective Three (P03) is to work with the prime contractor to identify strategies and methods that broaden and develop CIO and Agency culture to adopt future technologies and methodologies, championing IT initiatives throughout the Agency and developing an engaged and educated workforce willing to and capable of implementing and taking full advantage of emerging technologies and initiatives.
Some program specific responsibilities include:
  • Provide proven ability to regularly co-author thought leadership.
  • Provide an outside government perspective that will broaden the CIO outlook on future IT threats and opportunities and their effects on tomorrow's mission.
  • Support clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations, know about available products and services and be committed to providing quality products and services.
  • Perform or evaluate market research and trends, conditions, and technological advances as they apply to the program.
  • Assist in program governance criteria and oversight on multiple award, multiple task order efforts. Assist with the planning, preparing, and maintaining of current acquisition plans and overall program office acquisition administration functions to include program control and tracking.
Job Requirements:
  • Individual must possess the senior IT consultant and advisory skills to accommodate the requirements as described above. Highly evolved IT analytic capabilities and understanding of the customer environment are necessary for this positions supported by a history of excellent reporting and presentation of analysis results.
  • Experience in evaluating, testing, acquiring and implementing future IT technologies and concepts
  • Experience in data management, data governance, strategies and architectures
  • Knowledge of DIA's mission, organization and methods of operations
  • Experience in global development and deployment of IT technologies
  • Commercial experience developing IT policies, strategies, plans, capabilities, roadmaps, solutions, and can effectively articulate to broad and diverse audiences
  • Experience in cloud computing and storage solutions
  • Experience in software defined architecture solutions   (e.g., Software Defined Networking)
  • Experience enabling workforce development to ensure the workforce remains aware and involved, supporting/implementing  new developments/capabilities
  • Proven experience with the IC, to include experience in delivering innovative industry best practices and technologies in areas
