Process Improvement Engineer

Location: Washington, DC

Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency. Must be able to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Improvement Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Work as a consultant focusing on review and development of a prioritized list of the CIO business processes identified for improvement and/or automation
  • Build and execute a Communications Plan that incorporates best practices on how to best engage and lead the workforce through the change process
  • Work with existing CIO Innovation Program and Process Improvement Team (PIT) to reimagine and catalog CIO processes and benefit ROI with plans to automate key processes
  • Assist in creating an Innovation and Process Center of Excellence (CoE) capable of providing the required resources to conduct a process inventory, develop an ROI evaluation model, evaluate existing customer processes and create a prioritized list of key processes to automate and modernize
  • Develop a suite of deliverables including a prioritized list of capabilities and processes scheduled for redevelopment and automation
  • Collaborate with Government staff across CIO and customer stakeholders to define a clear supervisory process for dynamic team management
  • Develop a Project Bid prototype capable of being operationalized throughout the customer organization
  • Assist with multiple meetings, training, and collaboration sessions with CIO and customer stakeholder Senior Leadership for capturing and providing feedback for high level initiative plans, developing outcome measures and detailed plans for each process improvement or automation action(s)
  • Develop and present executive level briefings on findings, plans, and implementation processes as needed
  • Work closely with customer management to develop human resource plans and strategies to meet organizational change requirements resulting from process innovation and automation actions
Required Qualifications:
  • Individual must possess the senior IT consultant and advisory skills to accommodate the requirements as described above. Highly evolved IT analytic capabilities and understanding of the customer environment are necessary for this positions supported by a history of excellent reporting and presentation of analysis results
  • Experience in interacting with varying stakeholders including senior-level leadership to create agreement with organizational strategies
  • Knowledge of DIA's mission, organization and methods of operations
  • Ability to coordinate and organize multiple priorities and tasks to align them to a specific strategy
  • Ability to collect information from various stakeholders and synthesize all information for consumption at multiple organizational levels to include field COCOMs
  • Ability to design and execute overarching change readiness plans
  • Experience enabling workforce development to ensure the workforce remains aware of and involved, supporting and implementing new process innovations and automation capabilities
  • Proven experience with the IC
 Desired Qualifications:
  • Military background is a plus
  • Experience collaborating in a multi-team environment
  • Master’s degree preferred
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred

Years of Experience:
Requires twenty (20) years of experience providing senior-level technical expertise for projects of similar size, scope, and complexity. Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
