Technical Sourcing Specialist

Location: Reston, VA

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Sourcing Specialist to support our recruiting team and help us place qualified candidates faster.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Source candidates using traditional and non-traditional sourcing
  • Use multiple platforms to look for and connect with potential candidates including internet job boards, specialty job boards (i.e., ClearanceJobs), search engines, social media (i.e., LinkedIn), cold calling targeted candidates, networking through professional associations
  • Interact with technical professionals on niche platforms
  • Review online databases and resumes to pre-screen candidates
  • Send personalized recruiting emails and follow up directly with candidates
  • Contact past applicants for new job opportunities
  • Develop a network of potential candidates and industry professionals
  • Log candidate information and related activities in our Applicant Tracking System (CATS Software)
  • Provide support to the senior staff
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on recruiting issues
  • May travel for site visits, career fairs, or contract transitions (travel percentage is 5% - 10%)
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System
  • Motivated to excel, competitive in nature, does not confuse “effort” with “results”
  • Expert Boolean searcher, active sourcer who goes out and finds passive candidates
  • Excellent sales skills, persuasive, and charismatic
  • Great organizer, on top of all issues, and does not waste time presenting weak candidates
  • Solutions-oriented, creative, out-of-the-box thinker; identifies ways of working smartly
  • Proficient with Microsoft office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with recruiting highly specialized candidates for senior, diverse technology roles within the cleared space (i.e., Enterprise IT, Cyber and IA, Data, TBM, Talent Development)
 
Desired Qualifications:
  • Staffing Agency Experience Preferred
 
Education:
  • High School Diploma and at least 5 years of recent and relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred
 
Years of Experience:
  • 5+ years of recent and relevant sourcing/recruiting experience.
