Tier I SPOC IT Service Desk/Help Desk Support Specialist, Jr.

Location: Springfield, VA
Education and Experience Required:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with three (3) to ten (10) years experience

Clearance Required:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active Top Secret clearance with SCI access and CI Polygraph granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency

Job Shift:
M-F, 10am-7pm

A Federal Services information technology (IT) customer requires support of the enterprise IT environment. Under this contract, Assured Consulting provides direct assistance to the customer in IT services ranging from process engineering to systems administration with a core focus on customer engagement and satisfaction resulting in expedited throughput and deployment of mission based assets and services. 

Assured Consulting Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and customer oriented Tier I Help Desk Support Specialist to support the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD). Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing technical assistance and support to related computer systems, hardware and software
  • Running diagnostics programs, and isolating problems
  • Determining and implementing solutions
  • Creating Training Manuals
  • Training Enterprise computer users
  • Responding to email and chat messages from customers seeking support
  • Engaging with customers through the problem-solving process
  • Following up with customers to ensure resolution success
  • Running reports to determine reoccurring malfunctions
Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of IT industry best practices
  • Experience creating and managing trouble tickets utilizing an ITSM tool
  • Experience working and interacting with customers
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification (GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, Security+ CE) with appropriate computing environment certification (Enterprise Support Technician/MCITP)
