We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Data Analyst/Visualist to join our team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support customers in assessing data and interpreting such data into recommendations and solutions that aligns to DIA's force structure and overall strategy.
  • Assist in developing, measuring, and reporting performance of business activities to fully understand business problems and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyzing trends, metrics, and patterns to develop solutions, programs and policies in partnership with leadership and HR team members, and ensure consistent approaches to policy, procedure, and HR guidance to the organization
  • Informing budgets, course creation, training plan development, instructional balancing (contracted courses v in-house)
  • Supporting talent acquisition metrics and goals including quality of applicant pools and hires, diversity, number of hires, time to fill, hiring manager and new hire satisfaction, cost-per-hire, turnover data and other data
  • Supplying data and metrics to assess and implement new talent acquisition systems, infrastructure, and tools which consistently deliver on strategic business objectives
  • Conducting needs analysis and other research to gather information, validate need for training, identify talent development, and identify learning objectives
  • Create executive-level reports and briefings; recommendations with solutions supported by data.
  • Support the government in identifying both short and long-term goals/capabilities that align to DIA's strategy and mission requirements.
  • Identify, recommend, and use exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, root-cause analysis, structured/unstructured predictive analytics, predictive modeling, optimization, and forecasting to produce actionable data-driven insights and outcomes for both time-sensitive and long­ term business questions.  Use query data for DD/DR Dashboards as well as query billet changes – complex query outputs that the current WFA team relies on the sub-contractor to get via SQL.
  • Incorporate systems security/audit guidelines in any capabilities assessed and identify gaps/issues in support of the future state.
  • Support government in analysis of current online system data and configuration on an as needed basis.
  • Support CIO with change management, deliverables and maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Expertise in commercial off-the-shelf solutions with a focus in project planning, data analytics, and understanding business requirements/business process re-engineering (BPR) activities.  Experience in strategic workforce planning.
  • Individual must possess the data science skills to accommodate the requirements as described above. Highly evolved IT analytic capabilities and understanding of data science are necessary for this position, supported by a history of excellent reporting and presentation of analysis results.

  • Experience working with or leading teams in solving complex data-based problem sets
  • Knowledge of DoD Workforce planning initiatives to work with government HR Generalists and Specialists to successfully develop, plan, manage, and execute workforce assessment, skills gap analysis, and competency assessment in creation of an agency-wide Strategic Workforce Plan.
Education Qualifications:
Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 05 years of relevant experience; 04 years of experience may be substituted for a degree
