Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency. Must be able to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

We are looking for a highly-motivated Data Scientist to join our team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform Data Engineering to include data transformation (XSLTs, ETL, etc.) and data ingest
  • Perform investigations to document as-is data flow in existing systems
  • Provide software coding in languages such as Python, Groovy
  • Support the Government in creating and delivering:
  • Data Source Analysis. To include, an assessment of the accessibility of the data source; the value or quality of the data provided; and, the level of effort required to bring the data into compliance with the goal data model.
  • Data Model. A data model conveying the scope of data required for Technology Business Management (TBM) vision. The data model will also contain a mapping of data source to data model and an assessment of where gaps may exist
  • Data Life-Cycle Strategy. A notional architecture will be provided that identifies how a Data Life-Cycle would be constructed to meet the needs for aggregating disparate data sources, from both known and future data sources and a broad timeline for the development and approval of supporting life-cycle artifacts
  • Create executive level reports and briefings on data architecture, data management, and data analytics for customer senior leadership
  • Develop and provide assessments, updates, guidance and recommendations regarding the ability and maturity of available data-architecture, data-management, data-warehousing, data-policies, data-assets, and data-governances to support the development of a mature data management capability and strategic data lifecycle
  • Document recommendations for improving data sharing, increasing data repurposing, and decreasing the costs associated with data management efforts.
  • Document recommendations for improving links between various disconnected databases and data stores, making data easier to discover, access and transform into knowledge.
  • Provide documented assessment, updates, guidance, and recommendations regarding handling structure and unstructured datasets and storing, cleaning, and fusing data for further interpretation through proactive discovery, recurring SME engagement, and evaluations of current and future initiatives and capabilities.
  • Provide documented assessment, updates, guidance, and recommendations regarding master data governance, roadmaps, processes, and data standards through proactive discovery, recurring SME engagement, and evaluation of current and future initiatives and capabilities.
  • Provide documented assessment, updates, guidance, and recommendations regarding an enterprise data dictionary for master data including attributed, ownership, definitions, taxonomies, standards, and industry reference data through proactive discovery, recurring SME engagement, and evaluation of current and future initiatives and capabilities
  • Provide assistance, guidance, and recommendations to various working groups which impact or support the development, implementation, and management of mature analytics capabilities including the alignment of customer’s DA program to ongoing efforts related to data management, data warehousing, dashboarding, and visualization.
  • Document recommendations for the establishment of data management roles and responsibilities across the DIE. The contractor shall document existing commercial and government-provided training courses available to support established roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist the Business Team in the establishment of enterprise governance policy and procedures to support the acquisition, use, management, and disposition of data within the enterprise.
  • Work with the CIO to identify infrastructure requirements necessary to support mission and business data management needs. The contractor shall document recommendations for infrastructure improvements to support mission needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to create code in Python, Java, Groovy
  • Experience ingesting and analyzing data using Tableau
  • Experience representing data analysis visually using Tableau dashboards
  • Experience ingesting and analyzing data using Python
  • Possess an understanding of how data flows through systems
  • Possess an understanding of data standards and data management
  • Possess an understanding and at least two (2) years of direct experience working in the IC
Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to code in R, Groovy, or similar language.
  • Experience with Node.js, Graphql, Spark, Graph Databases and Rest API.
  • Experience using Collibra Data Governance Center, or similar tools, highly desired.

Education Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and ten (10) years of relevant experience. A bachelor's degree may be replaced with four (4) additional years of relevant experience.
